Schooner GEM of Penobscot Bay

Schooner GEM of Penobscot Bay, flagship of the Sail Power and Steam Museum, is now "on the hard" as a permanent exhibit of the museum. She is open for visitation, as a learning tool for young mariners or for special events, such as weddings, parties, meetings or classroom events. Where else can you board, take the wheel, navigate, be salty, give orders & intimately explore a schooner and never get seasick?

TEN THOUSAND THANKS to the late Captain Thomas Thompson for this amazing and very generous donation!

Our Vision Statement:

Our Mission:
To celebrate, honor, experience, and share the story of Maine's maritime heritage.
