Volunteer
Volunteers are truly the lifeblood of any organization, and we can't tell you how wonderful we think our volunteers are! Over the course of the past few years, they have rebuilt and restored "Black Jack," the oldest floating Friendship Sloop; built a working model of a limestone kiln, and they are currently working on restoring a beetle cat (shown on the left), 2 Herreshoff 12-1/2s, and completing Jade, a Muscongus Bay Sloop. Volunteers have cataloged our collection, served on our board and committees, helped with events ... the list goes on an on.
We'd LOVE to have you join us! just email Captain Jim, or call the museum at 207-701-7627. We'll chat about your interests and help find just the right volunteer opportunity for you! |

Donate
After seeing our unique collections of marine and industrial history or after seeing kids experience sailing for the first time aboard our boats in the Midcoast Sailing Center, visitors are often inspired to donate boats and artifacts of their own.
We love to expand our collections with meaningful pieces and to provide expanded experiences in our sailing program. For more information on donating items to the museum, please click here. |
