Donate a Historic Artifact
Over the years, we've found that Meg and Captain Jim Sharp's collection has not only inspired the creation of a museum, but it has also become the home for unique and interesting items from people who are committed to preserving a piece of their family history, a historically significant engine or boat, or a compelling piece of Rockland's historic cultural, maritime, or industrial past.
Our Collections Committee is always willing to take a look at items that families or individuals would like to donate. Historically significant items may be kept at the museum as part of the permanent collection (or even, in some cases, on loan). In some instances, items are accepted as a donation to be sold as an income stream for the museum and its programs.
If you are interested in having the museum assess items for donation or loan, please contact Captain Jim Sharp by email or phone: 207-701-7627
